A Talk with Anne

Anne Walsh Donnelly is a multi-award winning Irish writer of fiction, poetry and non-fiction. “A poet of exceptional bravery, a pretty sensational original voice. I hope the poetry world doesn’t tame her, though no doubt it will try…”, says poet Kevin Higgins.

She has been described as the most daring poet to emerge in Ireland of late. In conversation with Derville Quigley, she talks about her poetry and short story collection, her dabblings in memoir and the vein she tapped into that led to a prolific flow of unforgettable works. Anne reads three poems and an extract from her story, The Undertaker’s Wife. This event was hosted online via Zoom on 8 April 2020.
